Pakistani Youth Warned of Potential Mass Movement
Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the country’s young people are unhappy with how things are run.
He warned that if they all work together, they could change the government.
He said the current system is broken and needs big changes, like giving more power to local governments.
He also said that the military alone can’t fix the problems.
His comments came after a similar youth protest in India that made a minister resign.
A new online group called the Cockroach Party Pakistan is also talking about fixing corruption and giving jobs to young people.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi warned that Pakistan’s youth could spark a major political movement if united, likening them to “cockroaches”.
He criticized the current governance system as collapsed and called for sweeping reforms, decentralization, and merit‑based employment.
Naqvi cited India’s Cockroach Janata Party protests and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a warning.
He urged political leaders to fix the system, noting that military efforts alone would be ineffective.
The remarks coincided with the rise of a social media “Cockroach Party Pakistan” movement demanding transparency and accountability.
