Surgana Ranks 77th in NITI Aayog Aspirational Programme
Surgana is a small area in Nashik, India.
It used to be ranked 388th out of 515 places that the government is trying to help.
Now it’s 77th, which is a big jump.
The government worked together, checked progress often, and gave extra money.
Because of this, many people in Surgana have better health, like more babies born in hospitals and fewer sick babies.
They also have clean water, toilets, and good treatment for diseases.
The local officials say they will keep working to help other nearby areas too.
Surgana taluka jumps from 388th to 77th among 515 aspirational blocks.
Improvement credited to coordinated planning, monitoring, and inter‑departmental collaboration.
Health gains: 97.5% first‑trimester ANC, 100% institutional deliveries, 9.5% low‑birth‑weight, 84.9% hypertension screening, 90.8% diabetes screening.
Infrastructure successes: 100% drinking water in Anganwadi centres, 99.7% toilet coverage, 100% TB treatment success, 100% FMD vaccination, 100% FPO establishment.
District Planning Committee added ₹7 crore last year and will provide an additional ₹5 crore to sustain progress.
