Karnataka High Court Notices State Over Bengaluru Flyover Environmental Concerns

Karnataka High Court Notices State Over Bengaluru Flyover Environmental Concerns

A group of Bengaluru residents is challenging a planned flyover in court.

The flyover would be 11.62 kilometres long.

It is planned to connect SV Road Metro Station and Silk Board Junction.

The route would pass through areas such as Madiwala, Koramangala, Domlur and Indiranagar.

The residents say the project could harm the environment.

They also say it could negatively affect people's lives for a long time.

Their lawyer argued that a planning committee must approve the project first.

The Karnataka High Court has asked the state government and Greater Bengaluru Authority to respond.
