NID DAT 2027 Registration Opens; Exam Dates and Fees Announced
The National Institute of Design has started accepting applications for its 2027 design entrance test.
Students can apply on the official website, admissions.nid.edu.
The application deadline is November 30, 2026.
The first exam, called DAT Prelims, will take place on December 20, 2026.
Students who are shortlisted may later take DAT Mains, but its date has not been announced.
The test is used for B.Des.
and M.Des.
admissions for the 2027–2028 academic year.
Applicants must enter their details and upload documents such as a photograph, signature and category certificates when needed.
The application fee depends on the applicant’s category and nationality.
NID has opened applications for DAT 2027 through admissions.nid.edu for B.Des. and M.Des. admissions.
Candidates must submit the application and pay the fee by November 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. IST.
DAT Prelims is scheduled for December 20, 2026, with admit cards available from December 10.
M.Des. Prelims results are scheduled for February 16, 2027, and B.Des. results for March 16, 2027.
Fees range from ₹500 for PwD and Third Gender candidates to ₹3,000 for General, GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL candidates; overseas candidates pay US$125.
