RBI to Auction ₹32,000 Crore in Government Securities on August 1
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is going to sell some government bonds to manage money for the government.
They will auction bonds worth ₹32,000 crore on August 1, 2025.
These are like loans the government is taking out.
The auction will sell two types of bonds.
People and institutions can buy these bonds.
There's a special way for regular people to buy them.
It's all happening in Mumbai.
The RBI is doing this to handle the government's money needs, similar to how you might manage your allowance or savings.
RBI will auction ₹32,000 crore in government securities on August 1, 2025.
The auction includes re-issuance of 6.68% GS 2040 and 6.90% GS 2065 securities.
Each security has a notified amount of ₹16,000 crore, with potential for ₹2,000 crore additional subscriptions.
The auction will use the multiple price method, held at RBI's Mumbai Office.
