Nehru Children’s Museum to Close Indefinitely

The Nehru Children’s Museum, a famous place in the city, will close forever starting August 16, 2026.

The museum needs to make expensive safety changes to prevent fires, but it doesn’t have enough money.

The director asked the government to help pay for the changes or take over the museum.

The museum has lots of cool things like tiny models of famous stories, dolls from many countries, and statues of the elephant-headed god Ganesh.

It also teaches kids dance, painting, and singing, and helps kids with disabilities.

The government hasn’t said yes or no yet.
