IIT Bombay Leads Top JEE Advanced 2026 Choices, Report Says
A report looked at where students with high JEE Advanced 2026 ranks enrolled.
It says IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IIT Madras were the leading choices.
The article gives counts of 68 for Bombay and 29 each for Delhi and Madras.
But those counts add up to more than 100, so they do not match its separate claim that 97 of the top 100 chose those three colleges.
Among the top 25, Delhi and Madras each had eight students, and Bombay had six.
Overall, 18,861 students entered IITs through the exam.
Of them, 3,814 were female students, about one-fifth of the total.
The report also says the female qualification rate rose to 23.4% from 21.7% the year before.
A Joint Implementation Committee report released by IIT Roorkee says 97 of the top 100 JEE Advanced 2026 rankers enrolled at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi or IIT Madras.
The article reports 68 top-100 students at IIT Bombay and 29 each at IIT Delhi and IIT Madras; those figures total 126, conflicting with the reported total of 97.
Among the top 25 rankers, eight each chose IIT Delhi and IIT Madras, while six chose IIT Bombay.
A total of 18,861 students were admitted to IITs through JEE Advanced 2026, including 3,814 female students, or about 20.2%.
The report puts the female qualification rate at 23.4% in 2026, up from 21.7% in 2025 and the highest recorded from 2021 to 2026.
