NGT Appoints New Judicial and Expert Members
The government is adding new people to the National Green Tribunal, which handles environmental issues.
They're hiring two judges and four experts because the tribunal needs more help.
At the same time, some people who were working there have finished their extended time.
The new people have experience in law, forests, and environmental management.
This is to help the tribunal do its job better.
Union Environment Ministry appointed two judicial and four expert members to the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
The order also ended the extended tenures of two judicial and two expert members.
New judicial members include former judges from Delhi and Allahabad High Courts.
New expert members include former Indian Forest Service officers and members from other environmental bodies.
The appointments aim to address understaffing; start date and assignment location are unspecified.
