BMC Prepares for 2026 Elections
The city government in Mumbai is getting ready for big elections in 2026.
They are making sure all the people who will help with voting go to special training sessions.
If someone misses the training, they have to talk to their boss and finish it.
The elections will happen on January 15, 2026, and they will count the votes the next day.
There will be lots of places to vote and many people helping out.
The government wants everything to go smoothly and is warning that people must do their jobs or they might get in trouble.
BMC mandates training for all election duty staff, warns of strict action against absentees.
Polling for 2026 civic elections scheduled for January 15, counting on January 16.
1,03,44,315 voters eligible, 10,231 polling stations, and 64,375 officials and staff deployed.
