Uttarakhand Final Voter Roll Lists 71.58 Lakh Electors After SIR
Uttarakhand has published an updated list of people who can vote.
The final list has about 71.58 lakh names.
The election office says the list had 79.6 lakh voters when the update began, so the final number is 8.01 lakh lower.
Congress leader Manoj Rawat cited an earlier figure of 85.19 lakh, which would mean a much larger drop.
During the review, officials added some names and removed others.
People who are eligible but missing can still apply to be included using Form 6.
They can apply online or ask a Booth Level Officer for help.
Officials also plan special camps and home visits to help find eligible voters.
Uttarakhand published its final electoral roll on October 3 with approximately 71.58 lakh voters, 8.01 lakh fewer than the 79.6 lakh recorded when the revision began.
Congress leader Manoj Rawat cited an earlier count of 85.19 lakh as of January 1, 2025, and said the decline was nearly 14 lakh.
The draft roll published July 14 listed about 71.33 lakh voters; claims and objections were processed from August 13 to September 28.
The final roll lists 3,737,701 male voters, 3,421,036 female voters and 212 third-gender voters; 1,29,872 were added and 1,04,708 names removed during claims and objections.
