Mahila Congress Leader Booked for Defaming Youth Congress Chief
A woman leader from the Mahila Congress, Renjitha Pulickan, has been booked by the police.
This happened because another leader from the Youth Congress, Sajana B Sajan, complained that Pulickan defamed her on social media.
Pulickan had made posts on Facebook and Instagram using bad language.
The posts were made on November 27.
The police have registered a case against Pulickan under certain sections of the law that deal with insulting someone and publishing bad material online.
This all started because Pulickan had asked for the removal of a legislator named Rahul Mamkoottathil, who is facing serious allegations of sexual assault.
Police searched Mamkoottathil's apartment to collect evidence.
He has filed for anticipatory bail and is currently untraceable.
