Navi Mumbai Airport Begins Operations
A new airport in Navi Mumbai, called the Navi Mumbai International Airport, started operating on December 25, 2025.
A important person named Vijay Singhal, who works for CIDCO, said this is a big moment for everyone in Maharashtra.
The first flight to land was from Bengaluru, and the first flight to depart went to Hyderabad.
The airport will operate for 12 hours a day initially and can handle up to 90 million passengers when fully completed.
