Gurugram residents take to streets over 48-hour power cut

People in a city called Gurugram lost their electricity for more than two days.

Many homes and shopping malls went dark.

Some people got very upset and went outside to protest on the street.

They blocked a big road called Sohna Road.

The police and electricity workers came to talk to them.

The problem was a broken wire underground.

Because there was no power, people also ran out of water in their homes.

The electricity company promised to fix things and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Finally, the lights came back on around 5 o'clock in the evening.

People were happy that the power was restored.
