Bullet Train Project to Complete by December 2029, Says Minister
Imagine a super-fast train zipping between Ahmedabad and Mumbai!
The government plans to finish building this bullet train by December 2029.
It's a big project costing a lot of money.
So far, a large part of the money has already been spent.
The train uses cool Japanese technology, and most of the money to build it comes from Japan.
There was a delay because of problems getting the land needed in Maharashtra, but now they have all the land.
This train will be super-fast and will make it easier to travel between the cities.
Bullet train project between Ahmedabad and Mumbai slated for December 2029 completion.
The total project cost is estimated at Rs 1.08 lakh crore.
Approximately 73% of the project cost (Rs 78,839 crore) has been spent by June 2025.
Land acquisition delays in Maharashtra previously impacted the project.
