Turkish, Chinese Military Airlift to Pakistan Raises Cargo Questions

Military cargo planes from Turkey and China flew several times to Pakistan in a short period.

The flights happened from August 19 to August 21, after a new defence agreement involving Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The planes landed at important Pakistani air bases.

Officials did not say exactly what the planes carried.

Analysts think the cargo may have included drones, small attack weapons, equipment to stop enemy drones and air-defence parts.

Some shipments may help Pakistan control drones from farther away using satellites.

The flights may also be connected to Pakistan’s effort to improve its military after a tense conflict with India in May 2025.

India is watching the cooperation because it could make Pakistan’s military links with Turkey and China stronger.
