Uber Launches B2B Logistics and Metro Ticketing
Uber has started a new service called Uber Direct, which helps businesses with deliveries.
It works behind the scenes, so customers don't interact with Uber until their delivery arrives.
This service is available in Bengaluru and will soon include food deliveries from popular restaurants.
Additionally, Uber has added metro ticketing for the Bengaluru Metro in its app, making it easier for people to buy tickets and get real-time information.
Uber chose Bengaluru because it's a city known for innovation.
The company is excited to work with ONDC to make these services available to more people.
Uber launched Uber Direct, a B2B logistics service powered by ONDC, for seamless business deliveries.
Uber Direct is initially available in Bengaluru, fulfilling grocery deliveries for brands like Zepto and KPN Farm Fresh.
The service will expand to food delivery, including global brands like KFC, Burger King, Taco Bell, and Indian brands like Rebel Foods.
Uber also introduced metro ticketing for the Bengaluru Metro (BMRCL) within its app, using UPI as the payment method.
Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India and South Asia, highlighted Bengaluru as a natural choice for innovation and integration with ONDC.
