UP issues Letters of Comfort for 40 food processing projects
The state of Uttar Pradesh in India wants more companies that make food and drinks to build factories.
These factories are called food processing plants.
The government gave a special letter, called a Letter of Comfort, to 40 of these projects.
This letter shows that the government supports the project.
Many of the projects are in eastern and central Uttar Pradesh.
Famous brands like Amul, ITC and Haldiram are part of these projects.
Varanasi will get a dairy project from Amul.
Varun Beverages will make drinks in Prayagraj, Amethi and Gorakhpur.
These factories can create jobs and help local farmers sell their crops.
That can help Uttar Pradesh grow its economy to one trillion dollars.
The Uttar Pradesh government issued Letters of Comfort (LOCs) to 40 food processing and allied industry projects across the state.

Madhyanchal has 12 projects, with ITC Limited, Balaji Wafers and Haldiram Snacks investing in Hardoi.
Varun Beverages is setting up projects in Prayagraj, Amethi and Gorakhpur, while Amul has a dairy project in Varanasi.
