Surat Roads Inspected Post-Monsoon Damage
After heavy rain in Surat broke many roads and made them dangerous to drive on, special teams went to check 19 of these roads.
They took small pieces of the road to see why they broke and how to fix them.
This will help them build stronger roads in the future and keep people safe.
A team from Gandhinagar’s Urban Development Mission (GUDM) collected road material samples from 19 Surat roads.
The evaluation was conducted on Monday with assistance from Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) officials.
The inspection follows frequent complaints about road damage and increased accident risks after recent monsoons.
Surat's roads suffered severe damage during the monsoons, leading to safety concerns.
The collected samples aim to assess material quality and find solutions for better road construction.
