Gurugram Issues WFH Advisory Amid GRAP-IV
The air quality in Gurugram is very bad, so the local government has asked private companies to let their employees work from home.
They have also changed the working hours for government offices to help reduce pollution.
This is happening because the air quality in Delhi and nearby areas has gotten worse, and the government has started a special plan to control it.
The new rules will stay in place until the air quality improves.
The government offices will have different timings depending on whether they are state government offices or municipal offices.
Gurugram issued a work-from-home advisory for private firms starting 22 December 2025.
The move follows the invocation of Stage-IV of GRAP due to deteriorating air quality.
Offices are advised to operate at 50% capacity with the rest working remotely.
Public offices will follow staggered timings: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM for state government offices and 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM for municipal offices.
The measures will remain in effect until further notice.
