World Bank Approves $600M for UP and Haryana Air Pollution Projects
The World Bank has given money to help two states in India, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, clean up their air.
They will use the money to buy electric buses and three-wheelers, help farmers use better practices, and make small businesses use cleaner technologies.
This will help make the air cleaner for the people living there and make these states better places for businesses to grow.
The projects will also help monitor air quality and reduce pollution from things like farm waste.
The money will be paid back over many years, with some time where no payments are needed.
World Bank approves $600 million for air pollution projects in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
Uttar Pradesh Clean Air Management Program (UPCAMP) has a budget of $299.66 million.
Haryana Clean Air Project has a budget of $300 million.
Projects aim to improve air quality, promote clean transport, and support sustainable development.
