Physics Lover Finds Engineering Path at IIT Guwahati
Ritwij always loved understanding how things work, especially with physics and robots.
He prepared for a tough test called JEE to get into a special school called IIT.
His dad found a program at IIT Guwahati that let him study physics a lot, but also learn engineering for future jobs.
So, he picked that program right away!
At IIT, he learned to live on his own, manage his time, and even became a leader in a school club.
He also discovered a love for photography.
He says IIT taught him to be confident and independent, not just about engineering but about handling life.
Now, he's ready to start his career after gaining all these new skills.
Ritwij Kumar, a 21-year-old, pursued a BTech in Engineering Physics at IIT Guwahati driven by a childhood fascination with physics and robotics.
He chose IIT Guwahati after his father suggested the Engineering Physics program, which allowed him to focus on physics while keeping career options open.
Kumar navigated the challenges of JEE preparation, including online learning during the lockdown, and found chemistry to be his most difficult subject.
At IIT Guwahati, he developed independence, learned time management, and gained confidence through campus life, extracurricular activities like photography, and taking on leadership roles.
He secured a Pre-Placement Offer from Rippling in Bengaluru, crediting his IIT experience for shaping him into a confident and independent adult ready for his career.
