Pezeshkian Says Iran Adopted New Arrangement Amid US Pressure

Iran’s president says his government has made a new plan for dealing with difficult economic conditions.

He says the United States is trying to pressure Iran by limiting its access to money and trade.

He also says people’s support and government actions have helped Iran resist that pressure.

The US says its sanctions are meant to cut off money networks that support Iran’s government and military group.

The sanctions also affect areas such as aviation, energy, shipping, technology, gold, and digital assets.

A report said prices in Tehran were rising very quickly, while an unnamed official said Iran was adapting.

The same live updates said the United States was sending another aircraft carrier and 10,000 sailors and Marines to the region.

Separately, Yemen’s Houthis claimed they attacked an oil facility near Riyadh, while Houthi media reported Saudi strikes on Sanaa.

Flights between Iran and Iraq’s Najaf were scheduled to resume on Sunday.
