Power Mech Secures ₹3,126 Crore Battery Storage Orders
Power Mech Projects, a company that works on big energy projects, has won a huge order worth ₹3,126 crore.
They will build a big battery storage system in West Bengal.
This system can store a lot of energy, which is like a giant battery that helps keep the lights on.
The project is in Goaltore, but there's also an option to build another one in Durgapur.
Power Mech will own and operate these systems, which means they will take care of them and make sure they work well.
This is a big deal because it helps West Bengal use more clean energy.
Power Mech Projects' subsidiary PM Green secured a ₹3,126 crore order from WBSEDCL.
The order is for a 250 MW / 1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Goaltore, West Bengal.
The project will be executed under a Build-Own-Operate model.
There is an additional 250 MW/1,000 MWh greenshoe option at Durgapur.
