Three NTPC Korba Units Resume After Power Plant Blackout

A power station in Korba, Chhattisgarh, suddenly stopped all seven of its generating units.

The shutdown happened after an electrical fault on Friday evening.

Workers brought three units back into operation by Saturday evening.

These included two large units and one smaller unit.

One other unit was already being repaired through an overhaul.

Engineers are working to restart the remaining three units safely.

The plant can produce about 2,600 megawatts of electricity when operating at full capacity.

Officials are still investigating exactly what caused the blackout.
