Delhi Offices to Close September 11 During BRICS Summit
Government offices in Delhi will be closed on Friday, September 11, 2026.
The Delhi government has also declared that day a public holiday for its offices, related bodies and public sector companies.
The closures are connected to a large BRICS meeting in New Delhi.
The BRICS Business Forum and Leaders’ Summit will take place from September 11 to 13.
The main venue will be Bharat Mandapam.
Leaders from about 30 countries and other important guests are expected to attend.
Extra security and traffic controls will be needed during the event.
Closing offices is intended to make these arrangements easier and reduce problems for people traveling in Delhi.
The following two days are already Saturday and Sunday.
