CGST Officers Detect ₹5.6 Crore GST Evasion in Telangana

Tax officers in Telangana investigated a company called Sri Tirumala Services.

They say the company falsely claimed to be a Special Economic Zone unit.

This status can allow certain goods to be bought without paying GST.

Officials said the company was not eligible for that benefit.

They also said the approval letter used by the company was bogus or fabricated.

The company allegedly bought goods worth about ₹30 crore without paying GST.

Officials estimated the unpaid tax at ₹5.6 crore.

The company’s proprietor, Dara Ravi Kishore, was arrested on September 24.

A court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days, while the investigation continues.
