Venezuelans deported from US face tough Christmas
Many Venezuelans who were living in the US have been sent back to Venezuela.
This happened because the US government made it harder for people to stay.
One of these people is Mariela Gómez.
She and her family had to leave the US and go back to Venezuela.
They had a hard time getting home and now they are struggling to find work and food.
Christmas was not as happy as they hoped.
Many other Venezuelans are also facing similar problems.
Some are trying to leave Venezuela again to find better opportunities in other countries.
Mariela Gómez and her family were deported from the US and returned to Venezuela, facing unemployment and financial struggles.
Over 13,000 Venezuelans have been deported from the US this year due to tightened immigration policies.
Gómez's family had a difficult journey back to Venezuela, including crossing Central America and Colombia by dangerous routes.
Venezuela has resumed accepting deportation flights, reversing a long-standing policy.
Many Venezuelans, including Gómez's daughter, continue to seek migration opportunities in other countries like Brazil.
