France Halts Gaza Evacuations Amid Antisemitism Investigation
France has paused its plans to help people leave Gaza after they found out a student, who was supposed to study in France, had posted hateful things online.
This student, who was supposed to come to a school called Sciences Po Lille, had written things praising Hitler and wishing harm to Jewish people.
The university kicked her out because of her posts.
Now, France is checking everyone else they let in to make sure they don't have similar views, and the evacuations will stay on hold until they figure out what happened.
France has suspended Gaza evacuations.
The suspension follows the discovery of antisemitic social media posts by a Palestinian student.
The student was admitted to Sciences Po Lille university on a scholarship.
The university revoked her accreditation due to her posts praising Hitler and calling for death of Jews.
Further evacuations are on hold pending an investigation.
