Secunderabad Railway Station Prepares for Festival Passenger Surge
During festivals like Dasara and Diwali, many people travel to their hometowns, and the Secunderabad train station gets very busy.
To handle this, the railway is making a plan.
They expect almost twice the usual number of people, about 2 lakh passengers.
They've noticed that Platform 1 is the busiest for getting in and out.
To avoid overcrowding, they're sending some trains through a different route and encouraging drivers to use Platform 10.
They're also working with police and bus services to help manage the crowds.
Secunderabad station anticipates a surge to 2 lakh passengers during festivals.
Platform 1 is the most used entry and exit point.
Foot overbridges experience heavy congestion during peak hours.
Some trains are diverted to satellite stations to ease congestion.
Authorities plan crowd management with police and bus services.
