Goa's Drone Didi Scheme Aims to Train 100 Women Yearly

In Goa, a state in India, a special training program is teaching women how to fly drones.

Drones are flying machines that can be controlled from the ground.

The program is called the Drone Didi Scheme.

Didi means "older sister" in Hindi, and the scheme helps women learn new technology skills.

First, 12 women finished a five-day practice workshop.

The state government wants to teach 100 women every year.

In three years, it hopes to have 300 women who are certified drone pilots.

The women learned how drones work, how to fix them, and how to fly them safely.

Now they can start their own businesses, like taking photos from the air or doing precision work.

The program is part of a bigger plan from the central government to help women create new jobs and become entrepreneurs.
