Faridabad Sanitation Workers Protest Minister’s Office Amid 31-Day Strike

Faridabad Sanitation Workers Protest Minister’s Office Amid 31-Day Strike

Sanitation workers in Faridabad have been on strike for 31 days.

They want their jobs to be made permanent.

On Saturday, hundreds of them protested outside Minister Vipul Goel’s office.

Their union president, Balbir Singh, climbed onto a vehicle in the minister’s convoy.

Police convinced him to come down and put up barricades.

The workers continued shouting slogans and holding their brooms.

The government has warned that workers could face legal or departmental action if they do not return to work.

The union president said the strike would continue despite the government’s warning.
