India’s Services Sector Shows Strong Growth in May Amidst Global Concerns
India's services sector, which includes businesses like finance and transport, is doing well!
In May, it grew, with more business activity, new hires, and a lot of export orders.
Companies are hiring more people than ever before, but this is making things more expensive.
Also, the stock market went up, but the rupee (India's money) fell a little bit compared to the US dollar due to concerns about the global economy and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
India's services sector continued to grow in May, reaching a three-month high.
The HSBC India Services PMI Business Activity Index was 58.8 in May, up from 58.7 in April.
Export orders increased significantly, showing the strongest improvement in nearly two decades.
Employment increased at the fastest rate ever recorded by the survey.
The Rupee fell to 85.90 against the US dollar on Wednesday.
