CISF Launches 6,553-Km Coastal Cyclothon for Security Awareness
The CISF, a security force in India, is organizing a big bike ride along the country's coasts.
They will ride 6,553 kilometers over 25 days, from January 28 to February 22, 2026.
This event is called the CISF Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon-2026.
The main goal is to make people aware of the importance of coastal security.
It's also a way to connect with the local people and encourage everyone to stay fit.
The CISF will have 130 men and women cycling in two teams starting from Gujarat and West Bengal, and they will meet in Kochi, Kerala.
Many people in India live near the coast, and a lot of the country's trade happens by sea, so keeping the coasts safe is very important.
The cyclists will stay overnight in over 50 coastal villages and interact with the local communities.
