Mumbai 'Chemical King' Arrested in Rajasthan MD Drug Network Case
Police in Rajasthan busted a factory making illegal drugs, called MD.
They found a lot of chemicals and ingredients that could make drugs worth about 100 crore rupees.
They arrested two people at the factory.
Later, they found out that a man from Mumbai, who owns a chemical company, was the main supplier of these chemicals.
This man, Rohan Gavans, has been arrested too.
He used to supply chemicals like chloroform to drug makers in different states for many years.
The police are investigating to find out if this drug network goes to other states or even other countries.
So far, seven people have been arrested in this case, but some suspects are still missing.
The police also found drug-making equipment and chemicals in another district in Rajasthan.
Police arrested Rohan Prabhakar Gavans from Mumbai, identified as the key supplier of chemical components for an illegal MD drug factory busted in Barmer, Rajasthan.
The factory, uncovered on July 22 in Dholakia Kartiya, Sedwa police station area, had manufacturing potential for narcotics worth around Rs 100 crore.
Seized items from the Rajasthan factory included 39.25 kg of MD ingredients, 290.84 kg of liquid chemicals, and 5.33 kg of white powder.
Gavans, owner of Rohan Chemicals Private Limited in Raigad, Maharashtra, allegedly supplied chemicals like chloroform, ammonium chloride, acid, and toluene to drug traffickers for years.
A total of seven accused have been arrested in the Sedwa MD factory case, with several key suspects, including Ramesh alias Anil Bishnoi (carrying a Rs 1 lakh reward), still at large.
