Leopard Cub Killed by Speeding Vehicle in Amrabad Tiger Reserve

Leopard Cub Killed by Speeding Vehicle in Amrabad Tiger Reserve

A baby leopard was hit by a fast-moving car and died.

The cub was found near a highway that runs through a forest where tigers and leopards live.

The forest is called the Amrabad Tiger Reserve in Telangana, India.

This is the first time a leopard has been killed by a vehicle on this road.

Other animals, like snakes and jungle cats, have been killed there before.

The highway is the only route from Telangana to the temple town of Srisailam.

Many people drive there on weekends, and some drive too fast.

The speed limit on the road is 30 kilometres per hour, but many drivers do not follow it.

Forest officials examined the cub's body and then burned it, following official rules.

They are asking drivers to follow the road rules so animals stay safe.
