The Delhi High Court decided that Amit Khanna should not be released on bail.

He is accused of driving a car that hit Anjali Singh’s scooter.

The car allegedly dragged her for more than 12 kilometres.

Singh died in the early hours of New Year’s Day in 2023.

The judge said the alleged actions were very serious.

Khanna’s lawyer said he had been jailed for a long time and that there was not enough evidence against him.

The lawyer also questioned the timing of a witness’s identification and the lack of facial-recognition results.

Police said Khanna was driving the car.

The court rejected his bail request after considering the witness testimony and CCTV footage.
