Harjeet Grewal appointed National Commission for Minorities chief

Harjeet Singh Grewal, a 69-year-old leader from Punjab, has been appointed as the new head of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM).

He joined the BJP from the RSS in 1986 and has worked extensively to strengthen the party's organizational structure in various states.

Grewal has been a key figure in the BJP, especially during the farmers' agitation against the farm laws.

Despite facing electoral setbacks, he remains a prominent figure within the party.

His appointment is seen as part of the BJP's efforts to engage more with Punjabi and Jat Sikh leaders.
