Latur Police Penalise 58 Personnel Before Helmet Rule Enforcement

Police officers in Latur were fined for riding motorcycles without helmets.

In total, 58 police personnel have been penalised.

The police chief said officers must obey the same rules they enforce.

Anyone arriving at a police station without a helmet can face additional disciplinary action.

The violation may also be written in the officer’s official service record.

These rules apply across all 23 police stations in the district.

Helmet use will become mandatory across Latur from September 1.

Police want people to wear helmets regularly to help prevent serious road accidents.
