Gujarat Schools Show Improvements in Primary Education
In Gujarat, India, a program called Gunotsav 2.0 checks how good schools are.
This year, many primary schools did much better, with lots more getting the top grades, A and A+.
This might be because schools are now grading themselves as part of a new plan.
While primary schools improved, high schools didn't do as well.
The results are shared with everyone online, so the community can see how schools are doing and help them get better.
Primary schools in Gujarat saw a 180% rise in A and A+ grades.
The number of A+ schools rose from 109 to 383, a 251% increase.
Schools with A grade rose from 1,616 to 4,442, a 174% increase.
Secondary and higher secondary schools saw a decrease in A+ and A grades.
The results are accessible to the public via the ‘Gyan Pravah' chatbot.
