Andhra Pradesh paddy procurement progresses

The Andhra Pradesh government is buying a lot of paddy from farmers this season.

They want to buy 51 lakh metric tonnes in total, and in one district, East Godavari, they aim to buy 4 lakh metric tonnes.

So far, they have bought 1,91,559.920 metric tonnes in East Godavari and have given Rs 202.46 crore to farmers there.

The government pays farmers quickly, usually within 48 hours.

They also give farmers money for gunny bags and other charges.

The government is advising farmers to dry their paddy to a certain level before bringing it to the procurement centers.

They are also providing tarpaulin sheets to protect the paddy from rain.

Farmers can call a special number if they have any problems or questions.
