First Full Goods Train with Rice Reaches J-K’s Anantnag
A big train full of rice traveled from Punjab to a place called Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir.
This is the first time such a full train has made this trip.
It took only 24 hours, which is much faster than going by road.
The train carried a lot of rice, about 2768 tons.
This is good news because it will help people in the valley get the food they need more easily.
The train company and the food organization worked together to make this happen.
They hope to do more of these trips to help the economy and make sure everyone has enough food.
First 42-BCN goods rake with rice reached Anantnag from Sangrur in 24 hours.
The train carried 2768 tons of rice, significantly more than the previous shipment.
This initiative is a joint effort between Northern Railway's Jammu Division and the Food Corporation of India (FCI).
The successful operation is expected to boost the grain supply chain and distribution network in the valley.
The train's arrival is seen as a historic moment for Jammu and Kashmir, improving regional logistics capacity.
