Udhayanidhi Questioned at Sengipatti Station Over Cauvery Speech

Udhayanidhi Questioned at Sengipatti Station Over Cauvery Speech

There is a leader in India named Udhayanidhi Stalin.

He leads the opposition party in the state assembly, which means his party is not the one in power.

He spoke at a meeting of farmers who were upset about a river called the Cauvery.

Some people thought his speech was too strong.

The police wanted to ask him questions about what he said.

They took him to a police station called Sengipatti, about 20 kilometers from the city of Thanjavur.

Many people from his party, the DMK, had gathered near another police station.

Because the crowd made the situation tense, the police changed their plan.

Udhayanidhi went into the Sengipatti station at 6:45 in the evening to answer their questions.
