India's CEA: US Tariffs on India Will Be Short-Lived
The Chief Economic Advisor of India, Nageswaran, believes that the US tariffs on India will not last long.
He says that the US is now sending mixed signals, not aggressive ones.
He also mentioned that India has been buying more goods and services from the US.
He notes that if you include the value of the data that US companies collect from India, then the US actually benefits more from trade with India.
The Indian government will continue with intervention programs.
During COVID, these were designed to help businesses, and a similar approach is planned now.
CEA Nageswaran stated the US tariffs on India will be short-lived.
