Bihar has started monthly camps to help students report problems.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary opened the first camp at an engineering college in Vaishali.

Students can speak directly with government officials about problems at their schools or colleges.

These problems may involve exams, hostels, drinking water, toilets, canteens or academic arrangements.

The camps will take place on the fourth Tuesday of every month.

Students can also submit complaints online, in writing or by calling 1100.

They can use the portal to track what happens to their complaint.

The government says complaints should be resolved within 30 days, and students’ identities will remain private.

The initiative comes as students and job aspirants continue protesting in Patna’s Gardanibagh area.
