BJP Demands Karnataka Council Debate on Alleged KPSC Scam

BJP Demands Karnataka Council Debate on Alleged KPSC Scam

A BJP leader in Karnataka wanted the state’s Legislative Council to discuss an alleged recruitment problem involving the KPSC.

He said the matter was very serious and claimed that some ministers might go to jail if the facts became public.

The Council chairman said members were already discussing drought and farmers’ problems.

He said the KPSC issue could be considered later, possibly if the session was extended.

The chairman also said the issue was not included in the day’s business agenda.

A minister said the matter was before the courts, so lawmakers should be careful.

The BJP leader also questioned reports that the government might shut down the KPSC.

The disagreement led to arguments between Opposition and ruling-party members.
