L3Harris names Sam Mehta CEO after ousting Christopher Kubasik
A big company that makes defense equipment, called L3Harris, has a new boss.
The old boss, Christopher Kubasik, had to leave because he did something that went against the company's rules.
A group inside the company looked into his behavior and found it was not okay.
The new boss is Sam Mehta, who has worked in the aerospace and defense business for more than 25 years.
He joined L3Harris in 2023 and led the parts of the company that make most of its money.
The company also picked Lewis Hay III to lead its board of directors.
When people heard the news, the company's stock price went down a little bit.
The company says the old boss's exit had nothing to do with money problems or how the company was doing.
Sam Mehta used to work at a helicopter company called Sikorsky and other big companies.
Now he will lead L3Harris into the future.
Christopher Kubasik left as L3Harris CEO after a board investigation found his conduct inconsistent with the company's code of conduct.

L3Harris shares fell 2.5% in early Monday trading, and the company reaffirmed its 2026 financial forecast.
