Himalayan Black Bear Rescued in Jalpaiguri
A big black bear from the mountains got lost in a tea garden in Jalpaiguri.
The people there called the forest guards to help.
The guards put up nets and a cage to catch the bear.
It took them about an hour.
The bear might have come down from the mountains because it was very cold and snowy up there.
The guards will check the bear's health and then take it back to the forest.
People from nearby villages came to see the bear, but the guards made sure everyone stayed safe.
This has happened before, and the guards are now checking if more bears are in the area.
A Himalayan black bear was rescued from a tea garden in Jalpaiguri district.
The bear entered the Samsing tea estate, prompting residents to alert the forest department.
Forest personnel cordoned off the area and trapped the bear in a one-hour operation.
The bear likely descended from higher altitudes due to heavy snowfall and extreme cold conditions.
After medical treatment, the bear will be released back into Neora Valley National Park.
