Delhi Implements Proactive Clean Air Strategy, Showing Positive Results
Delhi is working hard to keep its air clean!
They've switched from just reacting to pollution to trying to stop it before it happens.
The city has already had more clean air days this year than in all of 2016.
They're using new tools and working together to clean up the air.
They're cleaning up garbage, stopping dust, and targeting the worst spots for pollution.
The goal is to make the air cleaner and keep it that way!
Delhi's Environment Minister highlighted the city's transition to a proactive clean air model.
From January 1 to July 24, Delhi recorded 118 clean air days, exceeding the total for 2016.
Air Quality Index (AQI) ranged between 0 and 200, including 'Good', 'Satisfactory', and 'Moderate' categories.
The improvement is attributed to coordinated action, quick enforcement, and public participation.
Real-time enforcement strategies include clearing garbage, addressing dust sites, and targeting vehicular pollution.
