Americans Released in Venezuela Amid Peace Gesture
Some Americans who were being held in Venezuela have been let go.
The US government is happy about this.
The Venezuelan government said they are releasing many prisoners to try to make peace after their president, Nicolas Maduro, was captured by the US.
Different groups say different numbers of people have been freed.
Some people are surprised because Maduro's social media account posted a message, even though he is in jail.
Last year, Venezuela and the US also made a deal to exchange some prisoners.
Multiple Americans detained in Venezuela have been released, announced by the Trump administration.
The release is part of a peace gesture by Venezuela's interim authorities following the capture of President Nicolas Maduro.
Foro Penal reported 56 political prisoners freed, while the Venezuelan government claimed 400 releases without evidence.
Nicolas Maduro's X account posted a message for the first time since his capture, raising questions about his access.
In July, Venezuela released 10 US citizens in exchange for migrants deported by the US.
