FIA Restores Hadjar’s Monaco Third Place Ahead of Italian Grand Prix

A Formula One race result from Monaco was changed again.

Pierre Gasly had originally finished third on the track.

Officials then gave him two penalties for speeding in the pit lane.

This moved him down to seventh place and raised Isack Hadjar to third.

Alpine later showed evidence that there had been a timing mistake.

Officials first accepted that evidence and changed the result.

The FIA’s appeal court then reviewed the case after a challenge from McLaren and Red Bull.

The latest decision puts Hadjar back in third and demotes Gasly again.
